One of the room of the Gallery hosts the ancient Library. Here, on the high Empire style shelves, Earl Tadini gathered all his books: texts on literature, history, art, science; a heritage which extends from 15th century incunabula to the refined illustrated editions of the 19th century.
This nucleus was later enriched with the legacy from Don Paolo Macario, first director of the Academy, and from many others. Nowadays all the books are esteemed to make up a patrimony of about 4,600 volumes. Originally also the graphic collections (prints and drawings) were kept in this room.
After the great works of restoration wich took place in 2011-2013, the Library is open by appointment for any reference work. For any information, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org .
